Job summary

Navy Region Naval District Washington FFR is seeking a CYP Training & Curriculum Specialist to lead staff training, monitor developmentally appropriate curricula for ages 6 weeks through 18 years, and promote education opportunities for professional growth within DoD CYP programs.

The role focuses on delivering a comprehensive training program, ensuring compliance with DoD standards, and supporting career progression through higher education and credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in child development or early childhood education required
• Three years of full-time experience working with children and/or youth
• Knowledge of DoD certification standards and national accreditation processes
• Ability to develop and deliver training programs for CYP staff
• Knowledge of adult learning techniques and training workshops

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate staff training to maintain DoD certification and accreditation
• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for child and youth staff
• Assess training needs and tailor plans to learner needs
• Coordinate with CYP Directors to schedule required trainings
• Ensure compliance with safety, fire, and sanitation rules
• Support educators in pursuing higher education and credentials
