Job summary

Commander, Navy Installations Command is seeking a CYP Training & Certification Specialist to advance staff development and ensure developmentally appropriate programs for children and youth aged 6 weeks through 18 years. Collaboration with CYP Directors and Program Assistants is essential to meet safety and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in child development or early childhood education, plus 3 years of full-time experience with children/youth.
Experience coordinating training and staff development in youth programs.
Knowledge of DoD standards and national accreditation processes.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate comprehensive staff training programs for Navy CYP staff.
Develop and deliver training designed for ages 6 weeks to 18 years.
Arrange subject matter experts for specialized training and tailor plans to learner needs.
Monitor certification progress and maintain training records.
Partner with CYP Directors to align training with safety policies and accreditation requirements.
Support continuing education and tuition assistance programs.
