Job summary

Commander, Navy Installations Command seeks a CYP T&C Specialist to design and deliver comprehensive staff training for Navy CYP programs serving children and youth aged 6 weeks to 18 years. The role focuses on developing, coordinating, and delivering training to expand staff knowledge, skills, and competencies in alignment with DoD standards.

The position emphasizes maintaining training records, supporting professional growth, and ensuring compliance with safety and accreditation requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a child-related field and three years of full-time experience working with children/youth, OR a combination of education and experience with 24 higher-level semester hours.
• Must demonstrate ability to monitor curriculum development and provide staff training.

Responsibilities

• Training as a lead participant to achieve and maintain DoD certification and national accreditation, and to develop a training program for improving staff knowledge and competencies.
• Identify training needs by evaluating learners and tailoring plans.
• Coordinate with CYP Directors to set training plans and ensure required learning opportunities are scheduled and resources are available.
• Provide training to ensure compliance with fire, safety, and sanitation rules and regulations; maintain training records and development plans.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education
