Job summary

Western Governors University is seeking a Training & Development Manager to drive leadership development aligned with the university's mission. You will supervise training professionals, partner with Financial Aid leadership, and design programs that build core competencies and brand values.

The role develops curricula, conducts needs assessments, and delivers diverse formats from self-paced eLearning to in-person sessions. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Education.
• 5+ years of leadership and development training.
• Instructional design experience and/or portfolio.
• Travel as needed to in-person events and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Provide training, coaching, and feedback to direct reports.
• Collaborate with senior management on personnel development.
• Lead and review curriculum with subject matter experts.
• Develop and deliver multiple training formats (eLearning, in-person).
• Align programs to business indicators and company mission.
• Track participation and outcomes using LMS tools.
• Drive brand values in training activities.
• Manage multiple development projects with deadlines.
• Attend conferences and professional development as needed.
• Some evening or weekend hours may be required.
