The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: Grade: Management_Executive 604 Pay Range: $70,000.00 - $115,600.00
The Training & Development Manager will help drive institutional values and philosophy through training and leadership development that is strategically linked to the University’s mission and beliefs. The position works with the Financial Aid Leadership team to identify and address employee and leadership development needs. The position is responsible for ensuring effective training programs are in place to enable the achievement of desired business results. Training programs focus on a variety of topics including company culture, values, competencies, and management or leadership principles. The position conducts needs assessments and designs and develops training programs while facilitating the delivery of both custom and formalized training programs. The Training & Development Manager also oversees other training professionals to ensure day-to-day operations remain efficient and effective.
Education Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Finance, Business, Education)
Experience 5+ years of leadership and development training 1+ years of progressive leadership/management. Instructional design experience and/or portfolio Experience in lieu of education An equivalent combination of training, experience, credentials, or accomplishments demonstrating the ability to perform the essential functions of this job may substitute for education degree requirements.
Some travel required for conferences or training This position requires occasional travel of up to 20%, including required attendance at designated company summits (typically one to two per year). Additional travel may include conferences, visits to company locations, and other business-related events as needed. Additional travel may be assigned as needed to support business requirements.
