Job summary

Genoa Town is seeking a Town Manager to oversee administrative operations, budgeting, staff supervision, and coordination of town services and events, including the Candy Dance festival.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Genoa Town Advisory Board, preparing agendas, reports, and ensuring compliance with Nevada Open Meeting Law. The role serves as the primary liaison to residents, county agencies, and town departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Public Administration with six years of supervisory experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs activities of assigned staff and contractors; coordinates tasks and reviews progress.
• Liaises between Town government, residents, and county/state/federal agencies.
• Prepares agendas, staff reports, and related correspondence for Town Board meetings and committees.
• Ensures compliance with Nevada Open Meeting Law and records meeting minutes.
• Manages budgeting, procurement, and grants, ensuring alignment with fiscal policies.
• Coordinates maintenance and contracts for Town property and facilities; oversees events and permitting.
