Job summary

Nordstrom Technology is building the Technology Vendor Management Office (TVMO) to lead a strategic vendor portfolio. This senior contributor role partners with Technology, Sourcing, Legal, Finance, and Risk to shape vendor strategy with options and trade-offs.

You will influence senior leaders and mentor the team while keeping a close eye on cost, risk, and performance. The role requires a deep background in enterprise technology vendor management, strong analytical skills, and the adaptability

Qualifications

• 10+ years directly managing enterprise technology vendor relationships at executive level.
• Structured problem solving with defensible POV and reasoning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for VP/SVP audiences.
• Commercial fluency in enterprise technology and vendor solutions.
• Strong analytical depth with comfort using data and models.
• Comfort with ambiguity and driving a new function forward.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic direction of a meaningful slice of Nordstrom Technology's vendor portfolio.
• Develop and maintain a POV on significant vendors and market shifts for the next 12–18 months.
• Collaborate with Sourcing, Legal, Finance, Risk and Technology leadership to translate strategy into outcomes.
• Lead vendor performance conversations and root-cause analysis to drive resolutions.
• Present decision-ready recommendations to senior leaders with options and trade-offs.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost, consolidate footprint, mitigate risk, and improve workflow.
• Mentor colleagues across TVMO and help evolve the function.
