Job summary

South Metro Fire Rescue is seeking a Technical Services Director to provide strategic leadership for the district’s technology initiatives. You will oversee the Technical Services bureau, guiding IT strategy, budgets, and system improvements to support mission goals.

The role requires extensive leadership experience in transformational technology, disaster recovery planning, and vendor management, with a focus on customer-centered service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business Management or related field.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Seven (7) years of experience within transformational Technology departments.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressive leadership experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver’s license; CPR within one year.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Technical Services bureau.
• Advise executive leadership on technology initiatives, investments, and system integrations.
• Oversee disaster recovery, data backup, and cyber security of district systems.
• Lead technology transformation and change initiatives to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Review major contracts and manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business Management or a related field

Master’s Degree preferred
