Job summary

VDL Industries Gainesville is seeking a Technical Buyer to bridge Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers in a high‑tech OEM environment. You will translate technical requirements into sourcing actions that support cost control, lead-time reduction, and supply chain reliability.

You will manage supplier relationships, lead negotiations, review technical drawings, analyze market trends, and maintain contracts within ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in high-tech, semiconductor, aerospace, or medical device manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with domestic and international suppliers; monitor performance and drive improvements.
• Lead supplier negotiations related to pricing, contracts, lead times, and technical capabilities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Logistics, and Quality to achieve optimal technical and commercial outcomes.
• Review and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and manufacturability considerations.
• Analyze market trends and supplier data to support strategic procurement decisions.
• Prepare, manage, and maintain supplier contracts and pricing agreements.
• Ensure data accuracy within ERP systems and production control.
