Atlassian, empowering teams to work anywhere, seeks a Technical Advisor (P70) to partner with the M100 Engineering Leadership and operate across a department‑level scope.

As a P70 individual contributor, you will evaluate high-stakes architectural proposals, drive cross‑organizational alignment, and optimize the engineering rhythm of the business across distributed systems and multi‑cloud environments. You will translate executive priorities into durable technical outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, distributed systems architecture, or technical program management operating at scale
• Demonstrated P70-level scope with cross-organizational initiatives
• Hands-on software credibility with system-level knowledge
• Executive partner presence and strong communication with senior leaders
• Strategic program execution and delivery across distributed teams

Responsibilities

• Partner with M100 leaders to evaluate high-stakes technical proposals, RFCs, and architectural trade-offs across distributed systems
• Drive alignment and unblock complex technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams without direct line authority
• Define and run department-level operational rhythms, including OKR tracking and strategic milestone reviews
• Identify systemic operational risks, platform debt, and reliability bottlenecks with executives and leads
• Synthesize complex technical dilemmas into decision-ready frameworks for executive forums and board discussions
• Champion developer productivity, engineering standards, and platform modernization across the department
