Job summary

Atlassian is seeking a Technical Advisor (P70) to partner with M100 Engineering Leadership. You will operate across a department-level scope, advising the engineering executive, evaluating complex architecture, and driving cross-organizational alignment.

You will define department rhythms, track OKRs, address architectural debt, and translate technical dilemmas into decision-ready frameworks for executive forums and board discussions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering or technical program management at scale.
• Proven cross-organizational leadership where business, product, and technical strategies are ambiguous.
• Hands-on software credibility with microservices and architectural trade-offs.
• Experience advising senior executives and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to connect strategy to execution across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate high-stakes proposals and RFCs across distributed systems.
• Drive alignment across multiple engineering teams without direct authority.
• Define and run department-level OKRs and executive briefings.
• Identify systemic risks and platform debt, driving architectural remediations.
• Synthesize technical dilemmas into decision-ready frameworks for exec forums.
• Champion developer productivity and platform modernization.
