Job summary

Okta is seeking a Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing to set objectives and lead a high-visibility technology sourcing function. You will drive strategy across software, network, SaaS, IaaS, and AI, while aligning with company goals.

Manage a team, optimize spend, and partner with Legal, Security, and Finance on strategic initiatives. You will oversee supplier relationships, governance, and KPI development, ensuring ethical sourcing and strong risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 10+ years in strategic sourcing/procurement, with leadership and tech-sourcing experience.
• Strong contract negotiations, supplier management, and cost-optimization skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration with exec teams.
• Analytical, data-driven decision making for ambiguous problems.
• Experience with procurement software and tools; advanced Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of strategic sourcing strategies for Technology categories to optimize procurement.
• Develop 3–5 year rolling category strategies with stakeholders to translate needs into plan.
• Develop, implement, and oversee KPIs for Technology sourcing activities and governance.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and track savings and supplier performance.
• Lead complex contract negotiations, terms, pricing, and SLAs while mitigating risk.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Security, Privacy, and Technology to align sourcing with needs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Category Managers and set goals.
• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships and manage critical issues.
• Conduct market research and supplier selection and drive M&A sourcing support.
• Regularly update leadership on progress, savings, and market trends.
• Ensure ethical sourcing and compliance across Technology spend.
