Job summary
The Walt Disney Company in Orlando, FL, seeks a Senior Technical Project Manager to identify, plan and coordinate a program of related projects, manage interdependencies, and lead cross-discipline teams in support of business strategies across DXT. This 16-month Project Hire position focuses on delivering complex technology initiatives.
The role emphasizes controlling scope, schedule, cost and quality, with collaboration across leadership, clients and sponsors.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical program and project management experience with tech teams.
- Experience with Agile, Lean, Kanban, and Waterfall blending.
- Ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of projects.
- Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills.
- Experience with Agile ALM and tools like JIRA, Confluence Wiki.
- Understanding of Agile DevOps and testing concepts (CI/CD, TDD).
Responsibilities
- Identifies, plans, and coordinates a project plan aligned to business goals.
- Plans the delivery of the project and its activities.
- Develops long-term goals to achieve project outcomes.
- Maintains knowledge of resources and budget planning.
- Coordinates and facilitates delivery of project objectives.
- Ensures timely completion of tasks and project schedules.
- Assesses risks, develops mitigation plans, and tracks budgets.
- Communicates program status to leadership and stakeholders.
- Mentors junior project managers and promotes professional development.
