Job summary

Planet Group in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Portfolio Manager on a 3-month contract to oversee a portfolio of Corporate Technology initiatives, ensuring projects align with business priorities and governance standards. You will manage budgets, forecasts, vendor contracts and procurement, coordinate purchase orders and invoicing, and report on risks, issues and dependencies to senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Business, IT, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years in portfolio/program/vendor management or IT business management.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of technology initiatives and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Track and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Manage vendor contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), renewals, and performance.
• Coordinate purchase orders, invoice approvals, and procurement activities.
• Serve as a key point of contact for the Corporate Technology organization.
• Coordinate communication with business stakeholders and leadership.
• Support governance meetings, portfolio reviews, and executive reporting.
• Track and manage portfolio risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Partner with Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Technology teams to ensure compliance and smooth operations.
• Help identify opportunities to improve portfolio processes and operational efficiency.
