Job summary

Neptune Technology Group seeks a Senior Technology Development Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership over our Technology Development organization. This role leads early-stage technology research, regulatory compliance, intellectual property strategy, and hardware architecture across multiple sites and product lines.

The ideal candidate will own the department's strategic roadmap and budget while advising senior leadership on technology risk and regulatory posture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience with increasing leadership scope.
• Experience leading multi-team engineering organizations across technical disciplines.
• Direct experience with product regulatory compliance and IP management.
• Experience developing department strategy, budgets, and roadmaps, and presenting to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead, scale, and develop the Technology Development organization across multiple teams/sites.
• Set strategic roadmap for early-stage tech research and align with business priorities.
• Own regulatory compliance strategy and governance including certifications and compliance processes.
• Own IP strategy and portfolio management, coordinating with patent counsel as needed.
• Provide hardware architecture governance and guidance across product programs.
• Establish processes, budgets, and governance to align work with objectives, budgets, and schedules.
• Collaborate with product management, manufacturing, quality, legal, and executives for prioritization and feasibility.
