Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Finance Tax and Risk Manager to oversee governmental taxes, insurance matters, and daily banking activities in the Woodridge, IL area. This role requires integrity and confidentiality to ensure compliance with legal obligations and tax reporting standards.

You will manage a small team and collaborate with outside advisors to ensure accurate year-end tax reporting and licensing compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or related field.
• 7+ years’ experience with multi-state and federal taxes, insurance, and contract administration.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Access & Word.
• Excellent communication, organization and time management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethics in all dealings.
• GAAP, Internal Revenue Code, and state tax compliance understanding.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily banking activities and tax compliance for multiple states.
• Assist outside tax advisors with year-end tax reporting (including 1099s).
• Maintain certificates of insurance and licensing; manage renewals.
