Job summary

BDO USA is hiring a Tax Senior Manager in Accounting Methods to optimize federal tax accounting methods, including depreciation and capitalization. You will lead research, compliance, and consulting efforts for public and private clients across technology, manufacturing, healthcare, and more.

You will collaborate with partners and client leaders in tax, accounting and finance, and work on strategy, business development, and marketing initiatives within Tax Accounting Methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, required; degree in Accounting, Tax, or Finance, preferred
• Master’s degree, preferred
• Juris Doctorate (J.D.), preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensures clients comply with applicable authorities
• Identifies options for minimizing client tax and reporting burdens
• Develops, recommends, and implements solutions to provide clients maximum tax benefits
• Represents clients before tax authorities
• Develops an in-depth understanding of tax accounting methods
• Develops new or improved ideas and strategies to advance client positions
• Supervises and reviews day-to-day work of Accounting Methods staff
• Delivers performance feedback and assists in professional development
