Strategic Task Order Project Manager – Government IT

Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to provide Task Order PM support for DoD contracts in Texas. You will lead planning, scheduling, risk management, and deliverables, coordinating with KO, COR, and Task Order Managers to keep programs on track and compliant.

The role requires PMP certification, DoD 8570/8140 relevant certifications, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive project management experience in IT or consulting.
• Experience in government contracting environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret or higher security clearance; US Citizenship required.
• Knowledge of CAGE systems (CAGE Workbench, CAGE Public, BRS).
• Strong leadership, planning, scheduling, cost management, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide Task Order project management support and leadership.
• Coordinate with KO, COR, and Task Order Managers.
• Manage project planning, scheduling, reporting, and deliverables.
• Prepare Monthly Progress Reports (MPR) and status updates.
• Lead transition planning and staffing plans.
• Maintain PMP, IMS, and QAP documents and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders and manage execution of contracts.
• Review work products for completeness and adherence to requirements.
• Monitor milestones and ensure timely implementation of technical solutions.
• Coordinate invoices and reporting to ensure DoD approval before invoicing.
