Job summary

Suncor is seeking a Specialist Commercial Advisor to manage the commercial chartering and optimization of Canadian-flagged marine assets, supporting Aframax and MR segments. You will coordinate with Trading, Marine Assurance, Operations, Scheduling, Ship Owners, and external stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant and cost-effective transportation of crude oil, refined products, and feedstocks.

• Strong negotiation and analytical skills with the ability to assess market dynamics.

• Manage chartering and commercial utilization of Canadian-flagged tanker tonnage for domestic and coastal trading.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian regulations, cabotage requirements, and HSSE standards.
• Analyze tanker market trends, freight indices, vessel positioning and opportunities to optimize costs.
