Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Representative II to partner with hiring managers and lead full-cycle recruitment for exempt, professional roles. Located on-site at the Akron HQ, with opportunities to engage candidates nationwide and travel for events, you will drive sourcing, postings, and offers while maintaining FirstEnergy’s standards for diversity and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline with 2+ years of relevant work experience, or 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Full-cycle recruiting experience for exempt, professional-level positions preferred.
• Strong sourcing capabilities and ability to access diverse candidate slates.
• Experience with creative sourcing strategies and resume mining.
• Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (SuccessFactors/Oracle preferred).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with strong organizational skills.
• Proven ability to develop relationships across levels and functions.

Responsibilities

• Hold strategic consultation meetings with hiring managers and develop job postings based on responsibilities and qualifications.
• Guide hiring managers through the recruiting process from posting to candidate acceptance.
• Ensure diversity representation at all stages in compliance with FirstEnergy policies.
• Post positions on internal/external career sites and third-party boards.
• Create and execute candidate sourcing strategies, including passive candidates and diverse slates.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety and sound decision making to improve recruiting processes.
• Pursue learning opportunities to improve recruiting procedures and stay current in the field.
• Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing objectives and study organizational plans.
• Develop sourcing strategies to identify qualified candidates via various sources and tools.
• Engage with niche/community groups to broaden candidate diversity.
• Develop screening questions to assess candidate fit and qualifications.
• Conduct phone screens, interviews, and overview benefits with candidates.
• Present offers and negotiate salary/benefits, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Maintain documentation on requisition status and candidate decisions.
