Job summary

Redwood Credit Union seeks a strategic, hands‑on Senior Vice President of Accounting and Finance to guide fiscal policy and ensure accurate financial reporting in alignment with strategic goals.

The role partners with the executive team to translate plans into accounting strategies, oversee budgeting, reporting, and regulatory compliance, and lead a high‑performing Finance team across departments.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of financial auditing, accounting, finance, and cost accounting for financial institutions.
• Regulatory requirements for financial institutions and regulatory reporting knowledge.
• Strong leadership and strategic direction abilities.
• Ability to analyze problems, plan and execute goals and lead teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and advise Senior Leadership on long-range plans and regulatory action impact.
• Develop and implement policies and programs; present to leadership and committees.
• Interface with directors, auditors, examiners, and vendors to ensure policy adherence.
• Communicate performance against budgets, propose growth and pricing strategies.
• Direct fiscal decisions, budgeting processes, and strategic financial planning.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate Accounting and Finance staff members.
• Ensure timely financial reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance.
