Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Supply Chain Specialist II to manage procurement, planning and logistics, ensuring timely delivery of our scientific products. This role blends analytics with practical execution to optimize inventory and support continuous improvement across supply chain processes.

You’ll work with Manufacturing, Quality, Finance and Commercial Ops to maintain service levels while controlling working capital, with a focus on replenishment planning and DRP-based decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in demand planning, DRP, and inventory management.
• Familiarity with ERP, MRP, DRP, or advanced planning systems.
• Strong knowledge of inventory optimization and replenishment planning.
• Preference for SAP/Oracle/JDE experience and CPIM/CSCP certification.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data trends.

Responsibilities

• Own distribution requirements planning for product lines across plants and distribution centers.
• Translate demand plans into replenishment requirements supporting service levels.
• Monitor inventory against forecast and adjust plans to reduce risk.
• Identify gaps, elevate risks, and propose alternatives to meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance and Sales to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain planning parameters like lead times, safety stock, min/max levels.
• Lead issue resolution related to availability and replenishment constraints.
