Job summary

Dexian is seeking a Supply Planning Specialist in Vista, CA for a 6+ month assignment. The role focuses on balancing supply and demand, optimizing inventory, and developing capacity plans within a regulated manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in supply/production planning, strong SAP ERP and Excel skills, and a track record of analytical thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Science, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Supply Planning, Production Planning, or a similar manufacturing planning environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP ERP.
• Strong MS Excel skills with data analysis, forecasting, and planning.
• Experience with production planning, supply planning, capacity planning, and inventory management.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing constraints, lead times, WIP, finished goods, and raw materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain supply plans to meet forecasted demand while optimizing inventory and minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence.
• Coordinate raw material and component availability to support production requirements.
• Develop and execute capacity plans based on manufacturing requirements, production constraints, and available resources.
• Analyze demand forecasts to identify potential supply shortages, production bottlenecks, and capacity constraints.
• Develop alternative strategies and contingency plans to address supply or production disruptions.
• Monitor finished goods, work-in-progress, raw materials, lead times, lot sizes, and inventory levels.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to align production plans with supply requirements and available capacity.
• Prepare short- and long-term production and supply plans and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Work with Purchasing, Quality, Regulatory, Commercial, Finance, and Manufacturing teams on product changes, demand changes, launches, and supply requirements.
• Support new product introductions, BOM changes, process changes, validation activities, and production planning initiatives.
• Identify supply constraints and proactively develop mitigation plans to minimize disruptions.
• Utilize SAP for supply planning, inventory management, and related planning activities.
• Prepare and present supply planning KPIs, reports, and analytical findings.
• Analyze supply scenarios and assess the potential impact of supply decisions across products and production lines.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement planning improvements.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives related to supply chain and manufacturing operations.
• Support continuous improvement of planning processes, reporting, and systems.
• Work effectively with stakeholders at different organizational levels to achieve supply, production, and delivery objectives.
