Job summary

Visby Medical, Inc. is a San Jose–based biotech startup seeking a Temporary Supply Chain Specialist for a 6‑month contract, onsite three days per week.

You will analyze forecasts, lead supplier sourcing, negotiate contracts, and drive supplier performance with cross‑functional teams. The role requires 5+ years in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment (medical device preferred), strong ERP/MRP proficiency, and excellent negotiation and collaboration skills to support procurement and quality

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing (medical device preferred).
• Strong understanding of inventory turns and KPIs.
• Advanced Excel and ERP/MRP systems proficiency.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP platforms desirable.
• Excellent negotiation and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze demand forecasts and MRP/MPS output to develop purchasing and inventory plans.
• Lead supplier sourcing, RFQ/RFP processes, and bid analysis to identify qualified suppliers.
• Negotiate and manage supplier contracts and pricing agreements.
• Collaborate with Legal to route contracts for review and signature.
• Monitor supplier performance and support Procure-to-Pay improvements.
• Participate in S&OP and lean manufacturing initiatives.
