Job summary

Norwich-Pharmaceuticals-Inc in Norwich, NY is seeking a Planner to translate forecasted demand into procurement and production plans aligned with the master production schedule to deliver product on time per delivery requirements.

The Planner reports to the Director of Supply Chain and collaborates with Operations, QA, QC, and Supply Chain to ensure timely deliveries and efficient production planning, inventory management, and on-time shipments.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in technical, business, or supply chain management.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, JD Edwards) required.
• 5+ years in a Supply Chain role preferred.
• APICS CSCP or CPIM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and plan inventory requirements based on MOH objectives, service levels and demand forecast.
• Maintain status and oversee management of product life cycles and material needs.
• Maintain demand forecast and manage the MRP process from forecast to shipment.
• Execute Open Order Report and coordinate with purchasing to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Lead and manage production planning.
• Coordinate with Operations, QA, QC, and Supply Chain to meet customer deliveries.
• Manage forecast changes and update production plans and delivery dates.
• Communicate scheduling status to management and customers clearly.
• Support department and site KPI’s.
• Coordinate planning adjustments with cross-functional peers.
• Direct scheduling dates, records, testing, release and final shipment for all accounts.
• Issue production batch records daily to ensure schedule maintenance and cycle time goals.
• Conduct routine material checks and retests to keep production on track.
• Manage inventory procurement to minimize carrying costs.
• Track and report material inventory.
