Job summary

Norwich Pharmaceuticals seeks a Planner to translate forecasted demand into a material procurement and production plan aligned with the master production schedule, ensuring on-time product delivery per requirements.

The role reports to the Director of Supply Chain and requires strong ERP/MRP experience, process coordination across QA, Operations, and Supply Chain, and a proven track record in inventory and production planning.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in technical, business degree, or supply chain management or equivalent experience
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Demonstrates knowledge of the manufacturing, packaging, maintenance, and PD&TS departments
• Experience with major ERP/MRP system (SAP, JD Edwards, etc.) required
• 5+ years' experience in a Supply Chain role preferred
• APICS CSCP or CPIM certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage and plan inventory requirements based on MOH objectives, service levels and demand forecast.
• Maintain demand forecast and MRp process from forecast receipt to shipment for all accounts.
• Maintain supplier master data and open order reports.
• Lead and manage production planning and coordinate with Operations, QA, QC, and Supply Chain.
• Communicate planning status and schedules to management and customers.
• Support Department and Site KPI's and coordinate cross-functional planning adjustments.
• Issue production batch records and coordinate shipments to maintain schedule and reduce cycle time.
• Conduct routine material checks and delivery confirmations to keep production on track.
• Manage procurement of inventory to minimize carrying costs and maintain safety stock.
• Track and report material inventory.
