Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Magna, Utah, is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist - Level 3, onsite to support production with timely materials and optimized inventory. The role interfaces with Sourcing, Procurement, and Program Management to ensure material availability and maintain schedules.

You will leverage MRP tools and analytics to balance demand with supply, drive cost savings, and develop procurement strategies for new launches and end-of-life scenarios across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5 years of professional experience or advanced degree in lieu of experience.
• Master's degree or PhD can substitute for fewer years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the right materials are available for production and delivered on time.
• Review on hand vs. required material; prioritize needs and plan inventory.
• Use MRP to compare demand and supply, identify shortages, and update plans.
• Support product changes across the lifecycle, including launches and ramp-ups.
• Collaborate with Sourcing/Procurement to set inventory targets and drive cost savings.
• Assess supplier capacity, review lead times, and ensure on-time delivery and quality.
• Partner with Program Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Procurement to solve problems and communicate shortages.
• Define procurement strategies with senior planners based on program requirements.
