Job summary

Greenfield Industries, Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Planner/Buyer to manage procurement of machinery, equipment, tools, and services for our Clemson operations. You will plan production flow, maintain accurate inventory, and execute sourcing activities to meet demand.

The role requires ERP/MRP proficiency (SAP or Microsoft D365), at least 2 years in a planner/buyer role, and strong data analysis. Lean/Six Sigma knowledge is a plus; APICS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management/Logistics or related discipline.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Microsoft D365).
• Minimum 2 years as a supply planner-buyer or similar role.
• System/data analysis and critical thinking skills.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma; APICS preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Improves value stream material flow to meet customer demand requirements.
• Maintains MRP planning data to ensure system performance.
• Monitors inventories, customer demand, and production levels.
• Production scheduling activities by monitoring material inventories and progress.
• Responsible for timely execution of product and services sourcing activities.
• Coordinates corrective actions in response to vendor issues.
• Evaluates, monitors, and reports supplier scorecard performance.
• Maintains relationships and communication with the supplier base.
• Adheres to company policies, procedures, terms, and legal matters.
