Job summary

freshexpress is seeking a Buyer/Planner to lead procurement and production coordination across the complete purchase cycle. You will create replenishment plans, manage PO lifecycle, and build strong supplier partnerships to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

In this role, you will drive weekly and monthly KPI reporting, advance MS Excel analytics, and support Six Sigma initiatives while maintaining flexibility for shifts and backup master planning duties.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of inventory control, production, manufacturing and scheduling.
• Knowledge of master production planning and scheduling.
• Experience with capacity planning and shop floor control.
• APICS CSCP or CPIM certification desired.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work all shifts and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Create replenishment plan that enables order fulfillment while maximizing efficiency.
• Manage the purchasing cycle: PO creation, follow-up, goods reception and payment.
• Supplier relationship management and performance monitoring.
• Deliver products and services to meet customer needs.
• Calculate and report weekly and monthly KPIs; develop metrics to analyze problems.
• Maintain professional knowledge via workshops and networks; participate in Six Sigma initiatives.
• Support corporate productivity improvements and process enhancements.
• Back-up Master Planning duties; adapt to changing priorities.
