Job summary

Lincoln Electric System in Lincoln, Nebraska seeks a Supply Chain Manager to lead strategic sourcing, procurement, inventory and distribution of materials and services needed for reliable electric utility operations.

You will work with across departments, build strong vendor relationships, oversee accounts payable, and drive efficiency, reliability and service for the community we serve.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of governmental procurement practices.
• Proficiency in contract management systems required.
• Proficiency in invoice processing.
• Proficiency in corporate purchasing card programs.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership to department staff to include prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, monitoring employee performance, ensuring staff members are trained and cross trained, resolving conflicts, and making hiring, termination and disciplinary recommendations.
• Manages all aspects of procurement processes in accordance with legal requirements and generally accepted and/or Administrative Board adopted procurement practices including formal solicitations, contract awards and purchase order generation.
• Identifies and implements areas for improvements, efficiencies and potential cost optimization with the supply chain process.
• Provides guidance to project owners on the development of requests for proposals and bid specifications and works with the project owner to create evaluation criteria to ensure consistency within the organization and clarity to potential suppliers.
• Manages and monitors the processing of all accounts payable functions ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Recommends, develops, implements, and communicates policies, programs, and processes for area of assignment and interprets them in a manner that is fair and consistent with the document’s intent.
