Job summary

Donaldson is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead production planning and materials operations at our Greeneville, TN plant. The role focuses on ensuring material availability, optimizing inventory, and driving continuous improvement within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

You will manage a cross-functional team and partner with internal departments to ensure on-time delivery and budget adherence, with on-site work at the Greeneville facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional level manufacturing/production control experience.
• Prior people-management experience.
• CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD certification preferred.
• Exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle E-Business Suite (R12).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and ad-hoc reports.
• Experience with BI software for data mining and dashboard development.
• Background in Kaizen or continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages the overall production planning activities for the plant maximizing customer service, delivery, production utilization, material control, inventory control and purchasing.
• Manages inventory levels including establishing goals, rotating stock, managing purchasing and supply base and developing methods and procedures.
• Develops long range planning initiatives for production control group, which includes continuously evaluating the plant’s needs capacities, capital, and expenses, to meet growth goals.
• Establishes effective communication with internal departments to ensure on time delivery of product and team support.
• Minimizes interruptions to production schedules through effective parts and materials procurement practices.
• Assists in planning the operating budget.
• Manages team of buyers, planners, shipping and receiving team members for 2 facilities at the Greeneville site.
• Lead the plants S&OE processes to align demand, supply, and scheduling to meet customer demands.
