Job summary

Donaldson Company seeks an experienced Supply Chain Manager for its Greeneville, TN plant to lead production planning and materials operations on site. You will manage a cross-functional team, ensure material availability, optimize inventory, and drive improvements to meet growth goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's in supply chain (or related field), 5+ years in manufacturing/production control, and prior people-management experience, with strong ERP/Excel/BI skills and a Kaizen/Lean mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages the overall production planning activities for the plant maximizing customer service, delivery, production utilization, material control, inventory control and purchasing.
• Manages inventory levels including establishing goals, rotating stock, managing purchasing and supply base and developing methods and procedures.
• Develops long range planning initiatives for production control group, which includes continuously evaluating the plant’s needs capacities, capital, and expenses, to meet growth goals.
• Establishes effective communication with internal departments to ensure on time delivery of product and team support.
• Minimizes interruptions to production schedules through effective parts and materials procurement practices.
• Assists in planning the operating budget.
• Manages team of buyers, planners, shipping and receiving team members for 2 facilities at the Greeneville site.
• Lead the plants S&OE processes to align demand, supply, and scheduling to meet customer demands.

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead production planning and materials operations for a high-volume plant environment. This individual will be responsible for ensuring material availability, optimizing inventory, supporting growth initiatives, and managing a cross-functional team. The role offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence through strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Greeneville, TN facility.

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related field OR equivalent experience
• 5+ years of professional level manufacturing/production control experience
• Prior people-management experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in production control, materials purchasing, inventory planning, detailed scheduling, warehouse management, and logistics in a manufacturing environment
• CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD from APICS ASCM or other national certification
• Exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle E-Business Suite (R12)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis and ad-hoc reports
• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) software for data mining and dashboard development
• Background in Kaizen, or continuous improvement
• Experience in Lean Six Sigma, or project management
