Job summary

Day & Zimmermann Company seeks a Procurement/Supply Chain Manager to lead purchasing, subcontracts and supplier solicitations, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and SAP-based workflows. You will guide cross-functional teams, manage risk, and drive process improvements across the procurement lifecycle from RBL to closeout.

In this Texas-based role, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet schedules, negotiate favorable terms, and mentor staff while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional experience in supply chain or procurement.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads sourcing strategies to improve supply chain performance and drive process improvements.
• Leads proposal efforts including procurement planning, supplier solicitations and negotiations.
• Oversees procurement/subcontract lifecycle from RBL to closeout for munitions customers.
• Reviews contractual terms and provides guidance on risk and dispute management.
• Mentors and evaluates team performance, coaching staff for development.
• Communicates potential issues with Supply Chain and site management to protect schedules.
