Job summary

Connect Search, LLC in Milwaukee, WI seeks an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement, materials planning, supplier management and inventory for a growing manufacturing organization. This leadership role will strengthen purchasing strategy and supplier relationships to support production growth and continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of progressive purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience procuring industrial materials, metals, components, or related products.
• Experience leading purchasing/procurement professionals.
• Hands-on experience with ERP and/or MRP systems.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills across functions and levels.
• Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing and materials planning to ensure timely availability for production.
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing for raw materials and components.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts.
• Evaluate supplier performance and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Production, Engineering, Quality, Estimating, and Finance.
• Oversee inventory levels, reorder points, safety stock, and material availability.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage purchasing and lead times.
• Identify cost-reduction and supplier-consolidation opportunities.
• Establish and monitor purchasing KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop a small team of purchasing professionals.
• Establish and improve procurement policies and internal controls.
• Ensure alignment with quality standards and company policies.
