Job summary

FOM Recruiting Staffing LLC is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead purchasing, planning & scheduling, and material control for shipbuilding projects. You will align procurement, production planning, inventory, and logistics with project requirements.

The role requires strong leadership in complex, project-based environments such as shipyards or heavy manufacturing. You will drive cross-functional coordination, improve operational discipline, and ensure timely, safe vessel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or Operations.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, planning, material control, or supply chain.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing supervisors, managers, or multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with schedules, budgets, BOMs, purchase orders, supplier negotiations, and inventory controls.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP/inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead Purchasing, Planning & Scheduling, and Material Control teams.
• Develop department procedures, staffing plans, and training.
• Coordinate engineering releases, BOMs, procurement, warehousing, and production need dates.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, supplier performance, and inventory accuracy.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
