Job summary

Hanwha Defense USA seeks a Director of Supply Chain to lead procurement and supply chain for defense shipbuilding programs. The role focuses on building strategy, processes, and a high-performing team to ensure compliant, cost-effective sourcing for production operations.

The position requires 10+ years in procurement/supply chain, preferably in defense, with strong negotiation, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Occasional international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field required.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years progressive procurement/supply chain leadership experience, defense/shipbuilding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement strategy for shipbuilding materials and services.
• Build and mentor a procurement and supply chain organization.
• Oversee supplier sourcing, qualification, and performance management.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives and contract negotiations across global markets.
• Ensure compliance with Incoterms, IMDG, and export/import regulations.
• Coordinate with internal teams to align procurement with technical and cost objectives.
