Job summary

Fluor Corporation is seeking a Senior Buyer/Project Expediting Lead to oversee non-project procurement and supervise personnel on large projects. The role includes planning material, purchasing, and logistics for engineered equipment and materials in alignment with the Material Management Plan.

The ideal candidate will have a four-year degree with extensive related experience and strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent and six years of related work experience, or combined education/experience equal to ten years.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Knowledge to learn/apply local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Strong detail orientation and time management to work efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Lead material planning, purchasing, and logistics for commodities or engineered equipment on large projects.
• Procure engineered equipment and materials in accordance with the Material Management Plan.
• Supervise personnel at a management level and ensure proper induction to project procedures and responsibilities.
• Support office operations and assist in complex material planning and field purchasing as needed.
