Job summary

SHEARER SUPPLY, LLC is seeking a Purchasing/Inventory Planner to plan, execute, and manage purchase orders for residential equipment. You will balance inventory across warehouses, forecast demand, and build strong vendor relationships to optimize cost and service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business.
• Prior purchasing, procurement, or inventory planning experience preferred.
• Analytical thought processing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to negotiate.
• ERP / MRP Experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and manage purchase orders for residential equipment.
• Maintain balanced inventory while staying within a given budget across warehouses companywide for assigned product families.
• Analyze sales trends, historical data, and seasonal demand to develop accurate forecasting and replenishment plans
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings
• Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely receipt and processing of inbound shipments
• Resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, invoices, and deliveries
• Maintain accurate records in the ERP system
• Generate and review purchasing and inventory reports for management review
• Support sales staff with product availability, lead time, and sourcing inquiries
