Job summary

Motion Industries seeks a Strategic Supply Chain Analyst to own and manage a core group of strategic suppliers, including purchasing and supplier performance management (on-time delivery, pricing, and data accuracy).

The role drives supply chain strategies, coordinates new product launches, and improves sourcing and forecasting processes. You will partner with internal teams to optimize procurement, lead continuous improvement, and analyze KPI trends to support business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in manufacturing or distribution supply chain preferred.
• Experience in forecasting, inventory management and leading teams is desired.
• Ability to explain complex functions clearly to stakeholders.
• Strong problem solving, data mining and analysis skills.
• Knowledge of demand planning and forecasting; APICS or similar a plus.

Responsibilities

• Convert supplier requisitions and process purchase orders, expediting as needed.
• Gather accurate PO and master data from suppliers and update systems.
• Cross-train to broaden product knowledge and supplier base.
• Manage RFQs and mentor others in quoting processes.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, terms, discounts, and rebates.
• Resolve supplier discrepancies with accounting, inventory or shipping.
• Improve communication on abnormal trends and review slow-moving inventories.
• Coordinate new product launches and phase-outs with marketing/product managers.
• Develop sourcing methodologies for long-lead-time parts and overseas suppliers.
• Review supplier performance and reconcile returns; visit supplier sites as required.
