Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer for the Charlotte Power Transformers team to ensure suppliers meet the highest standards. You will lead supplier, product and process qualifications, perform audits, and develop global and local suppliers in line with our supply strategy while monitoring performance to strengthen quality and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering and 5+ years in supplier quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, or manufacturing engineering.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
• Knowledge of materials used in power transformer manufacturing.
• Strong proficiency with standard business software and data-driven quality tools.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Execute and coordinate Supplier Quality Management activities for materials and components.
• Lead collaborative supplier quality initiatives to support commodity strategy.
• Implement and oversee the SPPQ process.
• Conduct supplier audits per ISO standards.
• Manage nonconformances, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Initiate supplier quality improvement measures and risk-based plans.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and verify corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Procurement on supplier-designed components.
