Job summary

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Quality Manufacturing Professional to strengthen the transformer production quality program. You will apply deep knowledge of power transformers to monitor process compliance, lead containment and corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

You will train shop-floor staff, collaborate with suppliers and internal partners, and ensure adherence to internal and customer quality standards while fostering a transparent quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing Power Transformers.
• Strong understanding of quality control standards specific to the Transformers manufacturing industry.
• Experience with quality tools such as FMEA and 8D.
• Willingness to work different shift schedules.
• Willingness to travel abroad for training.
• If not already located in the Charlotte, NC area, must be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Support the manufacturing processes with specialized knowledge in power transformers.
• Monitor process compliance with technology and manufacturing requirements of power transformers.
• Coordinate with stakeholders on quality issues.
• Create real-time transparency for ad-hoc analysis, instant decision making, preventive action and continuous improvement.
• Conduct on-the-job training for manufacturing staff, based on detected deviation.
• Ensure compliance with internal and customer quality standards.
• Collaborate in the development and maintenance of business and manufacturing documentation, ensuring processes and procedures are accurately followed.
• Create transparent and open environment for quality culture together with process owners.
• Foster continuous improvement initiatives, applying pertinent methodologies to enhance product quality.
• Give guidance that risks are identified, considered and controlled throughout the design and the use of the quality management system.
• Ensure effective cooperation with both internal and external stakeholders.
