Job summary

WEG is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality & Development Engineer to join the Sourcing & Supplier Quality team in Wausau, Wisconsin. You will lead supplier qualification and audits, track supplier quality, and manage non-conforming materials with corrective actions.

You will help implement a supplier scorecard to monitor performance across quality, delivery, and cost. This role requires 5-7 years in supplier quality, CQE or Six Sigma is a plus, and strong cross-functional collaboration with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
5-7 years of experience in supplier quality engineering or related field.
CQE or Six Sigma certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive supplier qualification and audit process.
Monitor supplier performance with tracking of defects.
Manage disposition of defective items and recover cost of poor quality.
Collaborate on corrective actions and continuous improvement with suppliers.
Develop and implement a supplier scorecard for quality, delivery, and cost.
Coordinate with procurement, engineering and manufacturing on supplier quality issues.
Maintain records and prepare regular management reports.
Provide training to suppliers and Marathon team on quality standards.
Review and approve PPAP submissions from suppliers.
