National Grid plc is hiring a Supplier Engagement Manager to lead relationships with strategic suppliers and drive value across the supplier landscape in the US. You will collaborate with category managers and business unit leads to embed consistent engagement and foster innovation.

You will shape supplier strategies with input from Sustainability, Risk, and Finance, while aligning with business priorities and commercial goals.

Qualifications

• Outstanding stakeholder and supplier management skills and credibility to influence senior leaders.
• Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of commercial models.
• Proven negotiation expertise with contract knowledge.
• Sharp analytical capability to interpret KPIs and data.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound recommendations.
• Strong program management skills coordinating complex workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver National Grid’s Supplier Relationship Management strategy with sponsors and leads.
• Lead engagement with strategic suppliers, coordinating forums and initiatives.
• Support development of supplier strategies by integrating cross-functional input.
• Resolve conflicting priorities across categories and business units.
• Maintain oversight of supplier landscape and identify new markets.
• Contribute to supplier segmentation, governance, and performance management.
• Partner with global and regional teams to support commercial strategies and risk mitigation.
