Job summary

Alaska Airlines is seeking a Supplier Performance Data Analyst to turn supplier, operational and financial data into actionable insights. You will develop dashboards, metrics, and reporting to drive supplier performance management for Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines.

The role offers opportunities at P2 or P3 level, with responsibilities ranging from data analysis to guidance on analytics and data governance. Strong SQL/Python skills and experience with BI tools are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in data analytics or related area.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related discipline, or 2 years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio, with working knowledge of VBA, SQL, Python, or other data management tools.
• Ability to develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, reports, and analytical tools using established business requirements.
• Ability to derive insights from data to answer complex business questions and synthesize information from multiple sources.
• Ability to identify data quality issues and work with stakeholders toward resolution.
• Business acumen and familiarity with financial management concepts and cost/benefit analysis.
• Aptitude for quickly grasping new concepts, methodologies, and systems.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze supplier performance, operational, and financial data to answer defined questions and identify insights.
• Develop, implement, and maintain reporting and dashboards for visibility of supplier performance.
• Maintain key supply chain metrics to elevate operational and financial outcomes.
• Identify inefficiencies in the supply chain and recommend improvements.
• Conduct quantitative analyses to support reviews, negotiations, and opportunities.
• Support evaluating complex supplier deals and scoring models for principal suppliers.
• Document methodologies, data sources, and reporting logic for consistency.
• Collaborate with data owners to validate data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Other duties as assigned.
