Job summary

Alaska Airlines is seeking an experienced Financial Planning Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team in Renton. The role spans Analyst I through III, supporting forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include creating financial models, analyzing results, and partnering with cost center owners to drive cost management and strategic initiatives. Growth opportunities exist as responsibilities expand with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field, or two years of finance/ accounting experience in lieu.
• Working knowledge of accounting/finance fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and databases; pivot tables and math functions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and performance drivers.
• Develop forecasts, budgets, and financial models.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports for stakeholders.
• Assist with variance analysis and explain drivers of financial performance.
• Collaborate with cost center owners to gather inputs and validate assumptions.
• Build and enhance reporting tools and dashboards.
• Support strategic initiatives and evaluate financial impact of business decisions.
