Job summary

Crystal Group in the United States seeks a Principal Subcontracts Manager to lead the subcontract management function in defense electronics manufacturing. You will establish governance, risk controls, and a compliant framework to flow down prime requirements to suppliers and manage performance.

Collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Program Management, and Contracts, you will shape supplier strategies, negotiate complex agreements, and ensure CPSR readiness and export-control compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or engineering with 15+ years in subcontracts or supplier management.
• Experience applying government acquisition policies, including FAR/DFARS, and CPSR readiness.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and strategic planning in defense manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead long-term subcontracting strategy, governance, and CPSR readiness.
• Negotiate high-value supplier agreements and structure terms to minimize risk and cost.
• Advise leadership on regulatory compliance, contractual risk, and acquisition strategy.
• Establish metrics and analytics to monitor supplier performance and risk.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Contracts to align supplier strategies.
