Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist to lead supplier evaluations and manage pre- and post-award subcontract activities across multiple U.S. locations.

You will negotiate bids, draft agreements, and ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR while collaborating with contracts, engineering, and quality teams. The role requires a strong background in government purchasing, MRP systems (SAP, Costpoint, Oracle), and extensive supplier management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years in purchasing, subcontracts, or contracts (9 years if no degree).
• Master’s degree preferred in business or supply chain.
• Experience with government purchasing/subcontracting.
• Experience with MRP systems such as SAP, Costpoint or Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier evaluations and performance monitoring for quality and reliability.
• Manage pre-award and post-award subcontract activities, including onboarding suppliers and drafting RFQs/RFPs.
• Negotiate terms, analyze bids, and draft essential agreements (NDAs, LTPAs).
• Coordinate with contracts, engineering, quality, planning, and end-users to finalize SOWs and manage supplier performance.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR, export controls, and purchasing ethics.
