Job summary

EZARC hires a Steel Preconstruction Manager to coordinate with Sales and Estimating, guiding projects from pursuit through to a buildable steel package. You will lead design teams, supervise BIM/VDC coordination, and deliver a complete preconstruction plan ready for shops.

You will manage the outside design team and coordinate with engineers, detailing, and fabrication leadership, while driving scope clarity, cost control and schedule alignment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction management experience on commercial or industrial projects.
• Ability to read structural, architectural and steel shop/erection drawings.
• Experience coordinating design teams, detailers or engineers.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Able to lead coordination meetings with internal teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Support pursuits with Sales and Estimating, reviewing bids for scope and risk.
• Lead preconstruction after award, aligning design, detailing, procurement and fabrication.
• Coordinate outside design teams and engineers, and manage RFI/submittal process.
• Plan cost, schedule and risk; maintain a risk register and milestone tracking.
• Lead BIM and VDC coordination to set model requirements and clash resolution.
• Handoff complete preconstruction package to construction team.
