Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) seeks a Stakeholder Engagement Representative to build and maintain relationships with grassroots advocates, political leaders, and policy-focused groups across Arizona. The role advances corporate policy priorities through outreach, education, campaigns, issue analysis and strategic communications.

The position supports APS’s engagement strategies, helps mobilize stakeholders for public policy and infrastructure initiatives, and collaborates with Public Affairs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR 3+ years' experience in government, stakeholder engagement and/or party politics at multiple levels.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with elected officials, activists, and policy-focused organizations.
• Strong communication and policy education skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor public sentiment and policy trends affecting APS goals.
• Attend stakeholder events to maintain APS visibility across Arizona.
• Cultivate and manage external stakeholder relationships; mobilize stakeholders for policy initiatives.
• Develop policy content to support public policy initiatives.
• Educate stakeholders on infrastructure projects and policy issues.
• Support grassroots engagement and mobilization for APS objectives.
• Research policy issues to support company goals.
• Assist recruitment for the Pinnacle West PAC.
