Job summary

Lifepoint Health in Holyoke, MA is seeking an experienced Staffing Coordinator to prepare regular nursing schedules and post them at least two weeks in advance. You will communicate changes to management and staff promptly and serve as the central contact for call-offs, PTO, and schedule adjustments.

You will monitor hours to minimize overtime, enter schedule changes into the payroll system, and collaborate with payroll and management to maximize efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Prior scheduling/staffing experience required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares regular staffing schedules for nursing staff and posts schedule no less than two weeks prior to the start of the schedule.
• Communicates schedule changes and other pertinent information to management and staff in a timely manner.
• Serves as the central contact person for the nursing department for call offs, schedule changes, PTO scheduling.
• Ensures coverage for both planned and unplanned schedule changes. Notifies appropriate management of discrepancies in staffing in a timely manner.
• Monitors employee hours to minimize overtime.
• Enters schedules/schedule changes into the payroll system.
• Works with payroll to manage time entry to ensure proper and timely pay.
• Works with management to maximize efficiencies in scheduling for the department.
• Educates current and new staff on scheduling, communication methods and processes.
